Ladies and Gentlemen,

I hope this email finds you all well and that you have enjoyed a great summer. I imagine with the weather getting a bit colder you are all starting to think about playing pool. Unfortunately, it does appear that the pandemic and lack of vaccine will prevent us from playing anytime soon. We do however have some left-over business to take care of from this past season.

First, we need to hold a draw for the two-piece cue (valued at $200.00) that we received from the Canadian Cue Sport Association. Doug and I will ask Rick Milks to make the draw hopefully this week. The cue was given to us as one benefit in maintaining our membership with the Canadian Cue Sport Association. Another announcement will be sent once the draw is held.

The second item concerns the funds that we collected for the 50/50 draws that were held weekly up until the abrupt end to our season. We plan to save the $526.00 that we raised as of March 5 for our next end of season tournament and banquet, date TBD of course. For the people who paid for the 8 draws that did not take place March 12 to April 30, we will use that money towards your next season’s membership. The amounts vary from $2.00 to $16.00. For example, if you had paid until the end of the season your next membership will be reduced by $16.00 ($2.00 a week for 8 weeks). Doug will send an email to those with an outstanding balance to let you know the amount you have left. Those who wish to have their monies refunded instead, please contact Doug at dpeace57@gmail.com to arrange for a refund.

The last item is thanking each of you for making our billiard league so very enjoyable, sociable, and entertaining. Hard to believe that we grew from just 16 players last year to 52 players this past season.

Wish we had some better news for you other than someone will walk away with a nice $200.00 cue in the next week or so. Forgot to mention, yes Ray your chip is still in the bag. Cheers.
